In a day when we’re constantly being told to hustle, God says, “Be still.”

He beckons us to come away with Him to the quiet place, the sacred space of STILL.

Still here.
Still love you.
Still working.
Still interceding.
Still in control.
Still coming back one day.
I’m still God.

🧶Being still is the place where God whispers the hidden things into the deepest crevices of our hearts.
🧶Being still is the way Holy Spirit expands our capacity for the more God has for us in the here and now.
🧶Being still is how Jesus weaves His holiness into the fibers of our whole heart to purify us to be His bride.

It’s here in the stillness where we learn just how deep, how high, how long and how wide the love of God truly is for us.

In our stillness, the Enemy trembles, terrified we’ll begin to take God at His word, believing all that He says about us. And then after we’ve learned to linger a little longer every day, God says:

“…Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come away with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one. The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth. Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. Press on through the hard spaces where you’re gasping for air and don’t think you’ll make it to the finish line...for there are good things waiting just ahead.

Run with Jesus.

But, know this:
permission is granted to stop and rest as you need.

On the days when you’re too tired to even think of running your race, get yourself to the quiet place where God can replenish your soul. And, when necessary, lie down in the green pastures of Psalm 23. In this perfectly protected place, dare to dream again with God.

March feels like it’s blowing in with a fresh new wind of the Spirit. New beginnings are here. A come back after the set back you’ve just been through. This month holds promises of a fresh start, new life, and the blooming season of all that’s been planted in your heart by God.

Hey sweet friend, God doesn’t push us away; everything He’s ever done is to draw us closer. He longs to be in relationship with us; He sent His only Son to pay the price so we could come close.

Don’t let fear or shame or regret or your missteps make you think otherwise. The enemy is a liar and there is no truth in him; so don’t believe a word he tried to tell you.

Just a little reminder of who you are in Christ. Don’t forget you’re a Daughter of the King. 👑 I don’t know what your earthy father was/is like, but there’s no fear when you go before The King. He is the Approachable Father who invites us to come boldly before His throne of mercy and grace. For some of us this is a hard concept; we’ve been scared off, unwelcome, or mistreated when we’ve come asking for what we need. But that’s not how it is with God. Is He holy, perfect, and righteous? Yes. But He is also approachable, full of grace and mercy, kindhearted, and has made a way for us to be in relationship with Him as heirs—sons and daughters of the King through Jesus. When we understand how God sees us through Jesus when we’ve become born again, fear is banished. Love continually covers…as the blood covered our sin. We now have access—full access to come boldly as beloved daughters. The Good Life is what we’re after, but it so often eludes us. I want to enjoy the here and now AND THE NOW AND NOT YET too!

Excited to start reading this with @bfalvey for our weekly (or not so weekly 🤣) phone call. A year ago my dear friend won a book I was giving away…we hadn’t talked in a regular basis since our lives had taken us from being on church staff at The Rock Church in Castle Rock, CO to different states and lots of time between…it’s been the sweetest gift to draw close again even from afar.

Betsy is the reason I’m in ministry today as she’s the one who saw something in me while I was leading women’s Bible study classes back in 2006ish and recommended me to fill her shoes as the Women’s Ministry Director…the rest is history in the making!

God is a God of FULL CIRCLES ⭕️ and we are ready to read Ruth’s new book because we’re both in seasons of waiting and restless and wanting more of God! I mean…aren’t we all…🤷‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

Get yourself to the mountain sweet girl…

Sometimes the hardest place to be is alone with God; yet when we yield, He’s always ready to restore, renew, and rebuild.

Intimacy with God doesn’t happen overnight or in one encounter. While He’s as close as your next breath, our eyes must be fixed upon our Beloved to see and know Him for ourselves.

We can’t keep counting in this week’s sermon or that one worship song to carry us through the week because it won’t…
the mountains are calling, darling…
say yes to getting away from the distractions and busyness of the world and get yourself to the mountain of God…
cast your cares, devote your time to getting know the One who loves you wildly…
let Him love on you…this is the way to an abundant life—a wonder-filled walk in the wilderness with God where being known and loved just the way you are will spark a fire to be more like Him in every way as you give your heart to Him wholeheartedly…it’s simple…just talk to Him.
He’s listening. Can you hear the mountains ⛰️ calling, sweet friend? Have you ever read Song of Songs (Song of Solomon)? It’s a beautiful view of how Jesus loves His beloved bride…how He woos her and sees her to come away with Him…

LINGER: Sometimes the most fearless thing we can do is stay in God’s presence
a little longer…to linger longer

1. Lingering in the presence can be uncomfortable at first, but the more we practice being in the presence of God, the more comfortable we become.

2. Lingering gives God the opportunity to go deeper, prune more precisely, and bring the breakthrough we are so desperately needing.

3. Lingering helps us overcome the fear of intimacy with God because as we stay a little longer in the secret place, we will trust Him more and more.

4. Lingering leaves us better than before because we can’t leave the presence of God without being changed for the better.

Friend, fearless February is half way through; follow along for more ways to face your fear and find the freedom to pursue your God-given dreams.

“For from days of old no one has heard, nor has ear perceived, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who works and acts in behalf of the one who [gladly] waits for Him.” Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

I love how the Amplified Bible adds this caveat: the one who “gladly” waits upon the Lord. It’s the posture of our heart that God is most concerned about as we are transformed by Holy Spirit within. Today, would you make room for Him to move mightily in your midst? Would you learn to linger a little longer to see His face, His hand, His heart for you?

You have nothing to fear when you are in the presence of God who loves you wildly and longs for you to stay a little longer. Leave a 🖤🪑🖤 if you’re willing to sit for a spell and linger a little longer with the Lord today. I dare you to dream bigger, trust more openly, and allow God’s presence to transform your heart of hearts.

No matter where you’ve been or what’s been done to you, God wants to be in relationship with you. Religion won’t fulfill the longings in your heart. A list of dos and don’ts won’t help you stay on the straight and narrow. Heart change trumps behavior modification every single time. Darling, you can run to God through the grace-lands of come-as-you-are; He is waiting to catch you by the hand and wrap His love around you, covering the shame, the pain, and the things that come between —to bridge the gap and fill in the cracks where the world’s broken your heart and left you fearful of being fully known and loved just as you are—where His blood covers the sin that separates and His mercy wipes the slate clean. God loves the broken-hearted back to life. ✨ You can read Psalm 139 as a “how to” for developing intimacy with God. His desire is to be in relationship with us!
If for some reason you’ve forgotten, remember God always pursues you with His unrelenting love! “Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.” Psalms‬ ‭139:17-18‬ ‭TPT‬‬ 💛 🙋‍♀️ Reading and studying Song of Songs from passiontranslation was a turning point in my understanding of intimacy with God and I believe it will do the same for you. Read it. Devour it! The most beautiful invitation we have is to “Come away” with God and let Him whisper His plans and purposes into our hearts. 👉 Get away with God in the quiet places of your heart and let His love transform, renew, and revitalize your relationship with Jesus—our bridegroom.
