Life Update 2024
Sharing a life update—this is what I originally posted on Instagram. At the time, I didn’t have it in me to write about it here, but I wanted to keep it in this space too.
August 15, 2024:
Pretty soon they’ll all be together…we slipped into hospice comfort care tonight at 21:21 with my dad…another “goodbye” here and “we’ll see you there” for now is the time.
For weeks I’ve been seeing repeating numbers on the clock without trying…a sweet reminder from Holy Spirit that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He alone is sovereign in the details of our days—He numbers them and knows the plans He has for us before a single one of them has passed…He is the Time Keeper and we can trust Him with all our days.
It’s 4 am and I’m looking through old pictures…listening as my dad utters his last words… “thank you God for…” “Jesus come…hurry…” “okay I’m ready.” Yes, come quickly Lord…so they can be together again.
Mom(2023), Dad(2024), and my brother John(2007). It’s been a journey…love you all…
