In an unpopular opinion and at risk of losing a few, pointing to Jesus sets us apart in a world obsessed with self. The truth is that while Jesus makes us worthy, it’s not about us; it’s all about Him.

In a selfie world constantly saying, “It’s all about me!” be a rebel & point to Jesus.

This isn’t false humility nor an insult—it’s not meant as degrading. We’ve been wonderfully made in the image of God. Simply put, we point to Jesus because He is worthy of both our devotion and the daily dying to ourselves. We are selfish by nature, but when we follow God something supernatural happens. We are set apart, made new…we’re meant to be different.

Savior > self.

Lately, I’ve been learning utter dependence on my Savior because without Him I will fail; I will fall. Standing on the truths of God’s Word aligns my heart with His—puts Jesus in His rightful place and me in mine. He reigns; I rely on Him.

He must increase; I must decrease. John 3:30

Some look to the Universe to find themselves. Some put stock in good deeds to define their worth. However, we won’t find what we looking for to fill our souls within ourselves or in the world; we need Jesus.

He, alone, satisfies.
