Have a Blessed Palm Sunday
“Time was, dear Lord I carried you
You left your cross upon my back
The people cheered us in the street
And placed palm branches at our feetBut that is all forgotten now
The people jeer me on my way
I’d carry you again dear Lord
for just one hour of dignity”

🌿🌿🌿Wishing you a beautiful Holy Week. 🌿🌿🌿 the 🫏 donkey symbolizes humility—the idea of carrying someone else’s burden, placing others before yourself…the idea of bearing the heavy weight of the cross on our backs is our call to go low, to be humble.
"And He was saying to them all, If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross daily [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake, he is the one who will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God]. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world [wealth, fame, success], and loses or forfeits himself?"
Luke 9:23-25 AMP
🌿🫶 I’ll be taking most of this week off to reflect on the most important thing this side of heaven.
When we know Jesus better, we love Him better. It may be a little quiet 🤫 here on my feed for a few days. The quiet space is sacred; it’s where I do my best thinking (and writing).
✍️ My heart keeps repeating this: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8
